Kaka‘ako is already home to some of Honolulu’s most exciting restaurants and cafes — and soon, our food scene is about to level up with the arrival of Yakitori Torishin, a Michelin-starred yakitori omakase restaurant from New York.
Known for being the first yakitori restaurant in the U.S. to receive a Michelin Star, Torishin has redefined what chicken skewers can be. Each skewer is grilled over binchotan charcoal, seasoned to perfection, and presented as part of a thoughtful omakase course that blends Japanese tradition with culinary artistry.
Why Kaka‘ako?
Our neighborhood has become a hub for design, art, and culture — and now, with Torishin joining the lineup, it’s also a destination for world-class dining. Whether you live, work, or play in Kaka‘ako, having a restaurant of this caliber right here adds to the rich lifestyle mix we love so much.
What to Expect
An elevated yakitori experience: Not your average skewer — this is yakitori crafted with precision and intention.
An intimate setting: Expect the chef’s counter vibe that makes you part of the cooking experience.
A foodie destination: With a Michelin star pedigree, Torishin is sure to draw locals and visitors alike, further spotlighting Kaka‘ako as Honolulu’s dining hotspot.
Stay tuned for the official opening date — and when you go, make sure to share your first bites with us at @inKakaako.
